When will my tax statement be available online?
Your tax statement will be available on or before the tax statement mailing date. Log in to My Financial Accounts to view your statements in under Statements & Documents.
Why don't I see my tax statement online?
If you don't see your tax statement online, it might not be available yet — please check the tax statement mailing dates. Tax statements won't be available for you to view online if:
- You are not the taxpayer on the account. For security reasons, only the person listed as the taxpayer on an account whose Social Security number (or other taxpayer identification number) is on the Form 1099 or Form 5498 will have access to the online tax statement. For example, a joint account owner who is not the first-named taxpayer on the account will not have access to the online statement.
- The taxpayer on the account is younger than 21 and therefore does not have access to the My Financial Accounts website.
- You do not have tax statements reportable under your Social Security number (or other taxpayer identification number). An example of this would be if the account had taxable earnings of less than $10 or if nothing was paid on that account.
Ameriprise Bank tax statements are not currently available to view online.
Additionally, there are some special situations that might prevent the online availability
of certain tax statements.
If you need to get a copy of a tax statement that is currently not available online, contact your financial advisor or customer service at (800) 862-7919. If you are an Ameriprise Bank client, contact customer service at (888) 356-1006.
How long will my tax statement be online?
Tax statements will be available online for 3 years, starting with the 2006 tax year
Will I still get a paper tax statement in the mail?
Yes, you will continue to receive paper tax statements in the mail. The printed tax statements received in the mail are the official statements of record.
How do I get a copy of a tax statement that isn't available online?
If you need a copy of a tax statement that is not available online, contact customer service at (800) 862-7919.
Will amended tax statements be available online?
Most amended tax statements will be available online. The printed statements received in the mail are the official statements of record.
Amended tax statements are created when a correction to your tax statement is required. A correction could include mutual fund reclassifications that are made after year-end statements are mailed.
If you need an additional copy of an amended tax statement, contact your financial advisor or customer service at (800) 862-7919.
I'm having trouble viewing my online tax statements. I click the link and nothing happens?
Online tax statements are created as PDF files; you'll need to ensure that you have Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0 (or higher) on your computer.
If you still have trouble viewing your online tax statement, try saving it to your desktop and then opening the saved file.
How do I save or print my online tax statements?
First, open the online tax statement, and then use the functionality in Adobe Acrobat Reader under the "File" menu to "Save" and "Print."
